Urban Air Mobility (UAM), a concept with origins in mid-20th century intra-city helicopter transportation, describes systems utilizing “highly automated aircraft which will operate and transport passengers or cargo at lower altitudes within urban and suburban areas.” Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) is an umbrella term which defines a future concept of mobility and of transportation of people and goods.
